The dihydropyridine starting material having a trifluoromethyl group in the 2-position is 1,4-diazabicyclo [2.2.2] -octane, or 1,4-diazabicyclo [2.2.2] -octane and Reacting with a base gives 4- (lower alkyl) -2-difluoromethyl-6-trifluoromethyl-3,5-pyridinedicarbothioic acid lower alkyl ester.
