(57) [Summary] [Object] A method for recovering component monomers by depolymerizing scrap of aromatic polycarbonate is provided. [Structure] First, depolymerization of an aromatic polycarbonate is carried out by basic phenol decomposition to produce a mixture containing a dihydric phenol and a diaryl carbonate. To recover this dihydric phenol, a crystalline dihydric phenol / phenol adduct is distilled. The diaryl carbonate is recovered by treating the obtained mother liquor with carboxylic acid and then distilling it. |
