titleOfInvention Phosphor electrodeposition method for field emission display
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] It is possible to form a phosphor film with a uniform thickness by the electrodeposition method on a field emission cathode, and also to prevent the phosphor from adhering to the invalid screen part outside the phosphor screen site. To provide a method for forming a phosphor screen by an electrodeposition method. In the electrodeposition method, a guard electrode 3 is provided around a predetermined electrode (electrode pattern formed on the effective screen portion) 1 (ineffective screen portion), and an electrodeposition liquid 12G (12) in an electrodeposition tank 11 is provided. B, 12R, 12M), a reverse bias voltage with respect to the electrodeposition electrode voltage is applied to the guard electrode 3, and this voltage control can control the electric field near the end of the effective screen electrode portion. The amount of phosphor adhered inside the effective screen electrode including the end portion of the effective screen electrode can be controlled. In this way, it is possible to form a phosphor film having a uniform film thickness on the phosphor screen forming panel surface on the predetermined electrode 1, and it is possible to eliminate the adherence of the phosphor to the outside of the phosphor screen portion.
