abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] The present invention relates to a method for quantifying cholesterol using NAD-dependent cholesterol dehydrogenase. [Structure] A microorganism is cultivated under aerobic conditions, and NAD-dependent cholesterol dehydrogenase having high specificity for cholesterol is produced from the bacterial cell or culture solution and reacted with cholesterol in the presence of NAD.
