abstract (57) Abstract: Reactive removal of inked layers, including removal of filler in gravure printing plates, and cleaning of any plate cylinders and transfer cylinders during the printing process or during printing pauses. It provides a complete cleaning device for the transfer cylinder in a rotary printing press. SOLUTION: Individual optional ink transfer cylinders 3, 4, 1 2 and 14 are equipped with independent erasing devices 30 to 36, which direct the jet of water pressurized by the erasing device to the individual envelope surfaces, while removing any ink residue while gravure printing. Reactive erasing of the inked layer, including the plate cylinder filler, is performed.
