DNA-transfected transgenic animals with oligonucleotide sequences and reduced sensitivity to narcotic anesthetics |
abstract |
(57) [Summary]nClones (SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 2, and SEQ ID NO: 3), separated and coordinated. One antisense structure is SEQ ID NO: 1, which blocks opioid binding in cells and is a transgenic animal that has reduced sensitivity to narcotic anesthesia. The oligonucleotide coordination is introduced into the animal during its embryogenesis from within the first approximately 500 base pairs, but inverted in orientation. The oligonucleotide structures of the present invention are useful as therapeutic and diagnostic agents. |
