abstract (57) Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a deodorant that can be deodorized by a catalytic action at room temperature and has a high adsorption capacity and can be used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The deodorant body has a catalyst layer made of activated alumina, a noble metal, zeolite, and silica supported on the surface of an activated carbon structure using a polysaccharide or a derivative thereof as a binder. As the binder, silica sol, alumina sol, titania sol, or a mixture thereof with a polysaccharide or a derivative thereof can be used.
