abstract | (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] A main object is to provide an antibacterial carbon material which can elute silver ions at a constant concentration below the regulation value for a long period of time and which is excellent in shapeability. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A method for producing a silver-dispersed carbon material, which comprises mixing an organic substance, which is a production raw material, with silver acetate, and then heat-treating the mixture. 2. Item 2. The method for producing a silver-dispersed carbon material according to Item 1, wherein the heat treatment of the mixture is performed by distillation, polycondensation, infusibilization, carbonization and activation. 3. In the production of silver-dispersed carbon material, silver acetate is dissolved in quinoline or a mixed solution of quinoline and acetic acid, mixed with an organic substance as a raw material for production, and then the mixture is heat-treated.
