titleOfInvention | Pressure swing adsorption method and apparatus |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large number of adsorbent beds that operate to make costs more effective and more efficient. The method and apparatus of the present invention use a single gas compressor / pump to move gas into and out of adsorption vessels A and B. Is moved to separate the components of the mixed gas in the pair of adsorption vessels. The cycle is adapted to operate the gas compressor / pump continuously. The cycle is not symmetrical in that the sequence of steps performed on one adsorption vessel is not the same as the sequence of steps performed on the other adsorption vessel. The device comprises: An intermediate gas storage container C is provided. By using the intermediate gas storage container C, the gas removed from the non-adsorption gas outlet end of the adsorption container can be temporarily stored. As a result, by using the intermediate gas storage container C, the adsorption vessel can be partially pressurized by the completion of the adsorbent regeneration step of the adsorption cycle. |
