(57) [Problem] To provide an ATG-1709 polypeptide and polynucleotide and a method for producing the polypeptide by a recombinant method. SOLUTION: The nucleotide sequence encoding the ATG-1709 polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2 has at least 8 A polynucleotide comprising a nucleotide sequence that is 0% identical and that encodes a polypeptide having the activity of an ATG-1709 polypeptide, or a nucleotide sequence complementary to this nucleotide sequence, is isolated. ATG-1709 polypeptides and polynucleotides are useful for the treatment of dysfunctions or diseases including heart disease, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, obesity, insulin resistance diabetes, and central nervous system (CNS) disease. It is useful in diagnostic assays for such conditions. |
