(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To safely determine the presence or absence of chronic inflammation by avoiding the risk of radiation exposure or infection without causing pain to the patient, Provided are a low-cost, simple, rapid and highly sensitive method and kit for determination. SOLUTION: The presence or degree of chronic inflammation is determined by measuring the concentration of hyaluronic acid in a urine sample. As a method for measuring the concentration of hyaluronic acid in a urine sample, a measuring method using a competitive reaction to a hyaluronic acid-binding protein is preferable. The kit used in the present determination method includes at least a hyaluronic acid-binding protein and hyaluronic acid labeled with a labeling substance. |
