Message device used in multi-beam satellite messaging system and method of operation thereof |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] A satellite-based, worldwide cellular messaging system sends paging messages to a pager via multiple beams. The message device monitors a plurality of beams while recording visit information of each beam, and finally determines an optimal beam for monitoring a message. A message device that conserves battery resources by entering sleep mode will synchronize quickly with its message blocks as it wakes up. |
