abstract (57) [Problem] In a gas generator in which pressure partitions of two pressure vessels are opposed to each other, a large generated pressure is required for the pressure vessel on the ignition side, which leads to an increase in the weight of the gas generator. And so on. SOLUTION: A first pressure vessel 11 filled with a combustible gas. And both pressure bulkheads 3, 5 of the second pressure vessel 12 filled with gas Fragile portions 30 and 50 for promoting cleavage are provided in the first pressure vessel 11 in which both pressure bulkheads 3 and 5 are cleaved and deformed. The gas generator 1 is arranged so as to interfere, and the pressure bulkhead 3 that has previously been cleaved and deformed physically collides with the weakened portion 50 of the other pressure bulkhead 5, whereby the two pressure bulkheads are reliably broken in a chain. At the same time, the pressure generated by the first pressure vessel was reduced.
