titleOfInvention Permanent magnet type rotating electric machine
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a permanent magnet type rotating electric machine that can prevent deterioration of characteristics of a permanent magnet due to a rise in temperature of a retaining ring and can also prevent breakage of a wedge. A slot of a stator core (2A) of a stator (1A) is a rectangular fully closed slot (4A) having a triangular projection (3a) formed on the inner peripheral side of the stator core (2A). Convex part 3a Then, the stator core 2A is cooled by flowing a cooling gas. The magnetic flux from the permanent magnet 6 to the stator core 2A via the retaining ring 8 and the air gap 9 also passes through the inner peripheral side of the convex portion 3a of the stator core 2A, thereby preventing pulsation of the magnetic flux density in the circumferential direction. Overcurrent of the holding ring 8 due to pulsation is reduced, and a rise in temperature is prevented.
