(57) Summary An apparatus and method for producing flat moldings, especially tablets, by melt calendering from a composition of a product containing an active ingredient is described. Charging means feeds the product composition to at least one pair of two reversible calender rolls. The apparatus comprises a circulating forming belt which is passed between two rolls and retained. The molded belt has a recess on the surface for receiving the product composition, the recess being an aperture through the belt. |
