abstract | (57) Abstract: Provided is an inclusion compound having 1,4-butanediol as a guest compound, a method for producing the same, and a method for separating and purifying 1,4-butanediol using the inclusion compound. An aromatic compound such as 1,1,2,2-tetrakis (4-hydroxyphenyl) ethane (TEP) which forms a hydrogen bond with a guest compound is added to a solution containing 1,4-butanediol. To form a crystal complex of the clathrate compound, isolate the crystal complex, and heat the obtained crystal complex or add a compound that guest-substitutes with 1,4-butanediol to give 1,4 -Separation and purification of butanediol. |
