titleOfInvention Automatic alien substance remover
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the inlet of alien substance in the sea and the loading of filters which causes leakage from a condensing pipe by setting a driving device operating on pressure difference between an alien substance pot and a lower stream side induction pipe, devided by a filter of a ship condenser. n CONSTITUTION: The device is composed of a duct 1, a filter 2, an alien substance pot 3, an alien substance outlet pipe 4, and a motor 5 to change the inclination of the filter 2. The duct 1 with a square section is connected to an upper stream side induction pipe 6 at one end and to a lower stream side induction pipe 7 at the other. Next, when a discharge port 4a opens and a curved porous plate 2c descends, sea water passing through holes 2a of the plate 2c goes straight, but part of sea water, interrupted by the curved plate 2b as a resistance plate, flows into the alien substance pot 3 with less resistance, pusing out the loading alien substance in a reverse direction (a reverse flow cleaning effect), eliminating the loading, and is discharged outside from a discharge pipe 4 together with the alien substance staying at the alien substance pot 3. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
