titleOfInvention Method of packaging articles by urethane foamed resin
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a method of packaging articles by urethane foarmed resin, in which even in a case wherein an article to be packaged is heavy it is not needed to thicken the layer of urethane foamed resin, and the article is secured in position within a box. n CONSTITUTION: A thin vinyl sheet 2 is placed along inner walls of a box 1, then a cushioning material 9a having a shape adapted to the configuration of an article 5 to be pakaged is placed into each of inner four corners of the box 1, an urethane liquid 3 is introduced through a nozzle 4, and the liquid is foamed thereafter. Lower corners of the article 5 which has been wrapped in a vinyl sheet 6 are placed on the cushioning materials 9a, then another vinyl sheet 7 is laid on the article 5, and after other cushioning materials 9b are put onto upper four corners of the article 5, an urethane liquid 8 is again introduced, and lids 1a are closed. The lower urethane foamed resin 3a and the upper urethane foamed resin 8a continue their foaming for a certain period of time to fill spaces between the article 5 and the box 1. Although it is necessary that the cushioning materials 9a, 9b should be more rigid than the urethane foamed resins 3a, 8a, the rigidity of the materials 9a, 9b should be selected according to the weight of the aticle 5. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
