titleOfInvention Ferromagnetic powder and its production
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the powder of superior magnetic characteristic by depositing the specific amount of Ca atoms on metal iron surfaces. n CONSTITUTION: Ca components are deposited on the surfaces of the needle-form particle powder composed primarily of ion oxide or iron oxy-oxide, in such a manner that the atom ratio of Ca/Fe become 0.001W0.05, and this is reduced by heating to obtain the powder composed primarily of metal iron. For example, CaCl 2 . 2H 2 O 4.61g is dissolved in pure water 1l and α-FeOOH of grain size about 0.5μm 100g is suspended in this under stirring. This is evaporated of its moisture content at 100°C in a dryer and the resulted powder is heated for 2hr at 600°C in an electric furnace. Next, this powder is reduced by heating at 300W500°C at hydrogen flow 1l/min in the electric furnace. This yields the metal iron powder containing calcium of superior magnetic characteristic. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
