titleOfInvention Forming method for scale mark of ruler
abstract PURPOSE: To perform a copper-plating for the scale marks, by applying the sensitive material to the ground of a metallic ruler, putting a negative film having the scale marks on the sensitive material with exposure given to light to dissolve the scale mark parts and then giving a corrosion to the scale mark parts by the conventional procedure. n CONSTITUTION: A sensitive material is applied to the ground of a ruler made of stainless steel or the like, and a negative film containing the scale marks on both surfaces is put on the sensitive material to be exposed to light and developed. Thus the coating film is dissolved at the areas of scale marks and corroded by the conventional procedure. After this, a copper-plating is applied to the corroded areas, i.e., the scale marks. Finally the scale marks are colored by the oxidizing method, reducing method, sulfurizing method, alloy growing method, electrodepositing method of other metals, salt growing and attaching method, dyeing method and others.
