titleOfInvention Surface treatment of polypropylene composite resin
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled resin excellent in adhesive property and useful for the core materials for interior trimming parts of an automobile by a method wherein polypropylene composite resin mixed with filler is extruded and molded in the form of a sheet and then special film capable of thermal fusion and having an active radical is fused and laminated. n CONSTITUTION: The polypropylene composite resin 6 where fillers such as wooden pieces and the like are mixed and fused with polypropylene is extruded and molded in the form of a sheet by the T die 1 set at the front end 2 of an extrusion molding machine. After it is extruded, the fused resin 6 is passed through cooling rolls 3, 4, 5, cooled by turn and cured gradually. And the composite resin where the intended surface treatment is carried out, is obtained by fusig and laminating on its surface between the cooling rolls 3, 4, mono- or multilayer polyolefin resin film (ex.; modified polypropylene film etc.) 7 having an active group such as a carboxyl group, a hydroxyl group, etc. at the end of the molecular chain. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
