abstract | PURPOSE: To manufacture the titled tube with superior dimensional accuracy in the inside diameter by measuring the inside diameter or the thickness of a glass capillary tube during drawing and by controlling the internal pressure of the tube in accordance with the deviation between the measured value and a set value. n CONSTITUTION: A quartz tube 1 with the cap 3 of a gas feeding pipe 4 connected to the upper end is attached to a rod feeder 2 and put into a drawing furnace 5. The lower end of the tube 1 is melted by heating and drawn as a capillary tube 8. The tube 8 is wound around a winding drum 7 with one end attached to a drum rotating device 6 having a speed control mechanism. The outside diameter of the tube 8 is measured with an outside diameter measuring unit 9, and the deviation between a set outside diameter value and the measured value is fed back to the motor output of the device 6. At the same time, the inside diameter of the tube 8 is measured with an inside diameter measuring unit 11, and while controlling the internal pressure of the tube 1 to 10W100mmAq through a pressure regulator 12 provided with a manostat switch is accordance with the deviation between a set inside diameter value and the measured value, the tube 1 is drawn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
