titleOfInvention Manufacture of nonaqueous electrolyte battery
abstract PURPOSE:To reform the curve and prevent the defective sealing of nonaqueous electrolyte battery, by subjecting a positive mixture and a metal-net body which is superposed on the positive mixture to compression molding, before the molded bodies are piled and are subjected to heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 1 is placed in a positive can 4, before a separator 8, and a disclike negative agent 5 made of metal lithium are placed on the electrode 1, in that order. The negative agent 5 is fused to a negative can 6 by pressure with a metal net 7 interposed between them, and the opening of the positive can 4 is closed with an annular gasket 9 interposed between the can 4 and the can 5, and the whole constitutes a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. The positive electrode 1 is prepared by subjecting both a metal-net body 2 and a positive mixture 3 to compression molding to form a molded body, before the molded bodies are piled up within a metal cylinder. After that, the piled bodies undergo heat treatment, thus a positive electrode 1 being prepared. Here, about 100-200 positive electrodes are preferred to be piled up, and the lowest temperature for the heat treatment is preferred to be 300 deg.C.
