abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a block porous material having a perfect through-hole, by eluting a hydrogel from a cured product prepd. by mixing a synthetic resin with the hydrogel, and molding and curing the resulting mixt. n CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin powder is mixed with a hydrogel powder consisting of a highly water-absorbing resin, and the resulting mixt. is cast into a metal mold and cured into a predetermined form by heating and pressing. Then the hydrogel is eluted by immersing and heating the cured product in a aqueous alcohol, etc. Thus, a space formed by the elution constitutes a perfect through- hole. Although a vinyl alcohol/acrylate copolymer hydrogel is pref. as the hydrogel to be used, a hydrogel such as a starch/acrylonitrile or polysodium acrylate hydrogel is success fully used too. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
