titleOfInvention Elevating type marine working platform
abstract PURPOSE:To elevate a platform, by a method wherein a float, supporting a platform, is divided into an inner and an outer float, and the two floats are moved in a reverse direction to each other through movement of a ballast between the two floats. CONSTITUTION:If ballast water in an inner float 1 is transferred to an outer float 2 by a pump p, a platform 3 is raised with the rise of the inner float 1. With this, the platform 3 engages the inner and outer floats 1 and 2 for connection, and ballast water in the outer float 2 is transferred to the inner float 1 by the pump p. Then, the load of the platform 3 gradually transfers to the outer float (2) side, and a column holding device 5 of the inner float 1 is released from engagement under a condition that the load of the platform 3 is completely transferred to a column holding device 5 of the outer float 2. If, with this, ballast water in the outer float 2 is further transferred to the inner float 1, the platform 3 is raised with the rise of the outer float 2. Through repetition of said operations in a manner described above, the platform can be raised to a neccessary level.
