titleOfInvention Formation of metallic film on synthetic resin thin disk
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a stable disk with metallic film with high quality and a low cost, by forming a metallic film on a heat-resistant synthetic resin film, coating a heat-sensitive adhesive to the counter surface of the metallic film to obtain a disk-shaped coated film and then putting the said coated film on a disk-shaped synthetic resin thin plate to adhere both the film and the thin plate together while heating and revolution. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum film 4b is consecutively formed on a heat-resistant polyester film 4a within a vacuum vapor-depositing device, and a heat-sensitive adhesive is coated on the counter surface of the film 4b. Thus a circular composite film 5 with an outer diameter and a through-hole having the same size as a disk-shaped synthetic resin thin plate 1 of a joined substrate is formed. The plate 1 and the film 5 are laminated on a rotary plate 6 fixed to a shaft 7 of a motor 8 and fixed with a fixing cap 9 to be adhered to each other by pressure and heat given by a heating roller 10 during revolution at a high speed. Bubbles produced during the revolution are eliminated. In such a way, a disk- shaped synthetic resin thin plate containing a metallic film is obtained with highly stable quality and a low cost.
