titleOfInvention Underwater power generating method
abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to generate the power continuously by introducing the sea water falling into a power station by means of a water pipe having a head of 10m and over and by discharging the sea water enclosed from a water vessel with a pressurized air when generating power on the surface or the bottom of the sea. n CONSTITUTION: Water vessels 15 and 16 are provided. One vessel is placed at a high-position than the other vessel. Block valves 1 and 2 are installed between the two water vessels. First the block valves 1 and 2 are opened and an intake cover 9 is closed and a compressor 7 is switched off and a relay is opened. The cover 9 is opened by mechanical operation so that the sea water may drop from an intake 12 into a water pipe 9, thereby revolving a water turbine 13 and a generator 10. The sea water then drops from a sump nozzle 14 into a vessel B. The sea water running on the tilted surface passes the block valve 1 and drops into the vessel A16. By the action of the float 4, the block valves 1 and 2 are closed and the compressor 7 starts operating the pushed up the sea water over a pipe 8. By repeating this procedure sequentially, the water turbine 13 can operate continuously without a halt. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
