abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a well metal having low sensitivity to embrittlement and crack and excellent low temp. toughness by using a flux contg. specific components and using a Cr-Mo low alloy steel wire having a specific content of nitrogen to perform welding. CONSTITUTION:Submerged arc welding is performed by using a flux formed by contg. the following components as essential components and granulating and sintering the components by using Li2O water glass and using a Cr-Mo low alloy steel wire contg. 4-12wt% CO2 generating source in terms of CO2, 10-20wt% CaO, 20-40wt% MgO, 12-30wt% Al2O3, 8-20wt% CaF2, 4-17wt% SiO2 and 0.012-0.040wt% content of nitrogen.
