abstract |
PURPOSE: To provide a compsn. suitable for use in the production of interior materials and having excellent flame retardance and flexibility, by blending a vinyl phosphorate compd. and/or a dialkylphosphonocarboxylic acid compd. with an elastic polymer. n CONSTITUTION: A vinyl phosphonate compd. derived from a starting material of formula I (wherein R 2 is a 2 or 3C alkyl) and/or a dialkylphosphonocarboxylic acid amide compd. derived from a starting material of formula II (wherein R 1 is a 1W8C alkyl; R 2 is 2 or 3C alkyl) are/is blended with an elastic polymer such as polyurethane resin, natural rubber or chloroprene rubber to obtain the desired flame-retardant compsn. Examples of the compds. of formulas I and II are compds. of formulas I (wherein x is 2W50) and IV (wherein R" is a 1W3C alkyl).
