PURPOSE:To manufacture inexpensively an Al foil having a metallic layer capable of tightly bonding the Al foil by rolling an Al sheet after plating its surface with a metal. CONSTITUTION:One side or both sides of an Al sheet having 0.3-0.6mm. thickness are plated to the 0.5-50mu thickness with a metal such as Ni, Zn, Cu, Sn, Pb, Ag, Au, Fe, and Cr, after subjecting the Al sheet to an alkali cleaning 1, a rinsing 2, a neutralizing 3 by acid, and a rinsing 4 processes. An Al foil 10 having the plated layer 11 is cold or hot rolled plural times so as to attain a >=50% reduction of area. The metallic layer 11' and the Al sheet are spread smultaneously and uniformly; then an Al foil consisting of the layer 11' and the Al foil 10' bonded tightly together is manufactured at a low cost. |
