abstract PURPOSE:To enable detection of leakage of a trace of sodium with a detector of mediocre accuracy, by laying out a piping allowing circulation through different points of sodium piping and sodium detector via a sampling piping. CONSTITUTION:A piping which allows circulation by a circulating pump through different points of sodium transporting cooling piping 1 and a sodium detector 8 via a sampling pipings 4, 31. Sodium aerosol leaked out of the piping is sampled in an annulus part 14 and then brought into circulation in said piping. Thus, even if the aerosol is deposited in the piping 4 on its way, as the forced circulation of the sampling gas causes increase of concentration of aerosol, a trace of sodium leakage can assuredly be detected. Further, sensitivity of the sodium detector 8 is not necessarily be specified at a specially high standard.
