abstract PURPOSE: To produce an Ni-base alloy member for a nuclear reactor having excel lent resistance to embrittlement by irradiation by subjecting an Ni-base alloy consisting of specifically composed Cr, Fe, Al, Ti, Nb and Ni to a soln. heat treatment then to an aging treatment under adequate conditions. n CONSTITUTION: An Ni-base alloy consisting of 14W25wt.% Cr, ≤30% Fe, 0.2W2% Al, 0.5W3% Ti, 0.7W4.5% Nb and the balance Ni and unavoidable impurities subjected to a soln. heat treatment at ≥950°C and thereafter the alloy is subjected to an aging treatment in the temp. an time range of the region M shown by the figure. The metallic structure dispersed and precipitated with the γ' precipitation phase Ni 3 (Al, Ti) regulated in size to 100W300Å diameter is formed in the alloy crystal grains by such treatment. The Ni-base alloy member for a nuclear reactor which is usable in the environment to be exposed to irradiation of neutron at ≥10 21 nvt (0.1MeV neutron flux) in the nuclear reactor and has excellent resistance to embrittlement by irradiation is thus obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
