| abstract | PURPOSE:To enable multiple printing in a plurality of rows to be performed with a roll of wide tape, by providing a carbon tape in the state of being inclined to the feeding direction of a printing material. CONSTITUTION:The carbon tape 3 is disposed in the state of being inclined to the feeding direction (a) of the printing material 1, a plurality of (e.g., six) holders 15... are connected to the lower surface of a horizontal fitting plate 12, and types 22... are fitted to lower parts of the holders. The types 22... are disposed on the upper side of the carbon tape 3 within the width of the tape 3, and are so arranged that they do not overlap with each other. When a motor 8 is rotated, the plate 12 is moved up and down in the direction C through a crank reciprocating mechanism 11, and the types 22... presses the tape 3 against the printing material 1 therebeneath, whereby printing (thermal printing) in 6 rows is simultaneously performed. |
