abstract PURPOSE:To provide a transfer-type thermal recording material showing a sufficient developed color density and a sufficient color forming sensitivity, by providing a heat-fusible transfer layer comprising a coloring agent and at least one specified flux. CONSTITUTION:A heat-fusible transfer layer comprising a coloring material and at least one heat-fusibilizing agent of general formula (I), wherein each of Ar and Ar' is subst. or unsubst. phenyl or naphthyl, and R is 1-10C bivalent group, is provided. Of the bisaryloxyalkane derivatives of general formula (I), particularly preferred is one of general formula (II), wherein R is 1-10C bivalent group, and each of X, Y, Z, X', Y' and Z' is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen, alkyloxycarbonyl, aralkyl or aralkyloxycarbonyl. The transfer sheet is obtained by dispersing the coloring agent and the flux in a dispersant, adding a binder, additives, a brightening agent or the like to the dispersed material as required, applying the resultant coating liquid to a base, and drying the coating liquid applied.
