titleOfInvention Fine coal combustion process
abstract PURPOSE: To provide stable combustion with the content of NOx keeping low by a method wherein a primary sleeve is expanded on a downstream side of a venturi part to decrease a partial pressure of O 2 and some ultra fine powder coal is supplied to a part near the sleeve wall. n CONSTITUTION: Fine powder coal stream 1 is metered by a venturi part 2 of a primary sleeve 3 and a uniform mixing with the primary air as well as a prevention of back-fire are performed. The primary sleeve 3 at the downstream side of the venturi part 2 is formed as the primary tapered part and forms the enlarged primary sleeve 5, and a flame holding ring 17 is arranged at the extremity end of the primary sleeve 5 and thereby the fine powder flame is made stable. Getting this stabled fine powder coal flame with this flame holding ring 17 causes the fine powder coals coming mainly from the center of the sleeve are heated at a part showing a lower partial pressure of O 2 on the axis of the wick of the burner, and the content of N in the fine powder coals is decomposed to produce a stable content of N 2 .
