titleOfInvention Toner coating method
abstract PURPOSE:To stabilize the quantity of frictional electrostatic charge of a thin toner layer to be formed on a sleeve which is a toner carrying body, to form uniformly the distribution of the quantity of frictional electrostatic charge and to make possible the control to the optimum quantity of electrostatic charge by treating pulverous particles which are the constituting component of a toner with a low mol.wt. polyolefin compd. specified in the melt viscosity. CONSTITUTION:This toner contains the pulverous particles treated with the low mol.wt. polyolefin compd. of which the melt viscosity eta at 120 deg.C is 5<=eta<=5X10<3> centipoise. The low mol.wt. polyolefin compd. to be used is preferably ethylene, etc. having about 500-15,000 number average mol.wt. The pulverous particles of which the BET specific surface area is 0.1-300m<2>/g is preferred. The content of the low mol.wt. polyolefin compd. in the pulverous particles is more particularly preferably 0.1-30wt% by the total weight of the pulverous particles.
