titleOfInvention | Plate making roll for gravure printing |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the title roll having structural strength necessary as a cylinder and capable of being used in place of a steel cylinder, by integrally mounting at east three radial walls to the inside of a cylinder and forming said cylinder from an extrusion molded aluminum alloy material. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 1 comprises an extrusion molded aluminum material wherein at least three radial walls 1c having rivet holes 5 are integrally mounted to the inside thereof and end plate receiving parts 2 are formed to both end interiors of the cylinder 1 and end plates 3 are engaged with both ends of the cylinder 1 to be received in the end plate receiving parts 2 and clamped by rivets 4 threaded with the rivet holes 5 from the outsides of both end plates 3. Because the cylinder 1 has at least three radial walls integrally mounted to the inside thereof, said cylinder has structural strength necessary as the cylinder. Further, because the cylinder is made of aluminum alloy, said cylinder has a wt. about 1/3 the wt. of iron and is extremely hard to corrode as com pared with iron. |
