NEW MATERIAL:An arylsulfonylfatty acid amide derivative expressed by formula I [R represents H or lower alkyl; R 1 represents formula II (X represents lower alkyl, halogen atom, lower alkoxyl, trifluoromethyl, mono-lower alkylaminocarbonyloxy, etc.; n is 0 or an integer 1W3) or formula III (A represents C or N; Z represents Cl, methoxyl or methylthio; Q is 0, 1 or 2); R 2 represents H, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy lower alkyl]. n EXAMPLE: N-(2,5-Dimethylphenyl)-4-methylphenylsulfonylacetamide. n USE: Useful as a herbicide having an effect on annual weeds such as a barnyard grass and perennial weeds such as slender spikerush with no phytotoxicity on paddy rice, and further exhibiting effect in a dry field forming use with safety and no smell without any toxicity to humans, animals, fishes and shellfishes. n PREPARATION: An amine derivative expressed by formula I is reacted with an arylsulfonylfatty acid expressed by formula IV in a solvent to obtain the compound expressed by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1986,JPO&Japio |
