abstract | PURPOSE:To prevent dewed water due to condensation of water in the air from mixing with lubricating oil in those separately provided with a sump tank separably removing a contaminative particle or the like in the lubricating oil, by constituting the sump thak formable to construction of an enclosed can. CONSTITUTION:In this small engine, lubricating oil in an oil reservoir 1 is fed by a pump 2 to each lubricated part via a filter 3, oil cooler 4 and pressure regulating valve 5, while introduced into a sump tank 7 through a three-way joint 6. This sump tank 7 is constituted as an enclosed can, and a cap-shaped member 11 having a supply port 12 and discharge port 15 is fitted to cover an upper end opening of the tank, while an internal pipe 14, one end of which is connected to the supply port 12 and the other end is suspended to the bottom part of the tank 7, is concentrically provided internally of said member 11. Further an orifice 16 consisting of small hole in a prescribed diameter is fixedly held by an orifice receiver seat 17 and retainer ring 18 in a part near the supply port 12. |
