abstract PURPOSE: A lipstick having a humectant action, a clear color, improved adhesion, obtained by dispersing uniformly water or a solution of a water-soluble substance in water into a lipstick by the use of cholesterol, phytosterol phospholipid, or saponin as a dispersant. n CONSTITUTION: Water or a solution of a water-soluble subtance in water is uniformly dispersed into a lipstick by the use of one or more of cholrsterol, phytosterol, phospholipid, or saponin as a dipsersant. For example, glycerin, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, sorbitol, etc. of polyhydric alcohol, pyrrolidonecarboxylic acid, water-soluble collagen, keratin, etc. of natural humec tant component, natural viscous substance having strongly humectant action, such as seed polysaccharide, etc. are used as the water-soluble humectant compo nent to provide the skin with wetness.
