titleOfInvention Electrophotographic sensitive body
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having high sensitivity and durability by forming a photosensitive layer contg. a specified stilbene compound. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. a stilbene compound represented by the formula (where each of X and Y is H, alkyl, alkoxy or aryl and n=0 or 1) is formed. The stilbene compound can easily be produced by reacting a triphenylamine deriv. with a fluorenylidene deriv. When the stilbene compound is used to form the charge transferring layer of a photosensitive layer consisting of a charge generating layer and the charge transferring layer, a sensitive body having especially high sensitivity, low residual potential and superior durability can be obtd. The sensitive body undergoes little change in the surface potential and little reduction in the sensitivity and hardly accumulates residual potential even after repeated use.
