abstract PURPOSE: To provide a thermoplastic resin sealing agent which has a low disconnection rate and is useful for sealing electrical components, containing a specified melt-processable polyester and a polyacrylene sulfide. n CONSTITUTION: A melt-processable polyester which is composed of 10W90mol% of a naphthalene moiety repeating unit of formula I and 90W10mol% of a phenol moiety repeating unit of formula II, whose further chain growth by heating is impossible, which has a logarithmic viscosity of 2W10dl/g in a soln. of 0.1wt% resin in pentafluorophenol at 60°C, and a weight-average MW of 2,000W200,000 and can form an anisotropic melt phase, is blended with a polyarylene sulfide (e.g., polyphenylene sulfide) in a weight ratio of 1W7:9W3. If desired, at least 40wt% inorg. filler having a thermal conductivity of 10w/m.K or above at 300°K, such as SiO 2 , is added thereto. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
