abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a novel electric charge transfer material in a lamination type photosensitive layer subjected to a function sepn. to an electric charge generating layer and charge transfer layer by an electrophotographic sensitive body having the layer contg. a specific compd. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body has the layer contg. the compd. expressed by the formula. In the formula, X is the residual group necessary for forming a ring closure structure with the 2, 2'-position of benzyne and R1-R4 may be the same or different and a substd. or unsubstd. group, etc. The synthesis of the compd. expressed by the formula is executed by dissolving, for example, a diamine in anhydrous tetrahydrofuran, slow by adding oily sodium hydride to the soln. under ice cooling and stirring, then slowly adding dropwise ethyl iodide thereto and obtaining di(diethyl amine) by extraction with ethyl acetate. The compressed by the formula is used for the charge transfer material of the electrophotographic sensitive body, the photosensitive layer of which is functionally separated to the charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer. Said charge transfer layer is formed by coating the soln. prepd. by dissolving the above-mentioned compd. and binder into a suitable solvent them drying the coating. The compounding ratio of the binder and the above-mentioned compd. is 10-500pts.wt. acid compd par 100pts.wt. binder.
