titleOfInvention Printing medium and pancake-like roll thereof
abstract PURPOSE:To ensure that uniformity of an ink can be easily obtained, by providing a conductor layer capable of being partly removed by discharge breakdown on one side of an ink-accepting base of a printing medium for printing by discharge breakdown, providing an ink-repellent layer thereon, and applying the ink to the other side of the base. CONSTITUTION:For example, aluminum is vapor-deposited in a thickness of about 600Angstrom on one side of a polyester film used as an ink-accepting base 101, thereby providing a conductor layer 102, and an ink-repellent layer 103 such as a silicone resin layer is provided thereon. Then, an ink is distributed to the other side of the film while sufficiently kneading it by a roller. By this, it is possible to easily obtain uniformity of the ink, the need for a separate ink-kneading means is eliminated, and the ink can be prevented from being dried. Accordingly, a facsimile or a printer provided with a excellent high-speed and low power consumption property of a dry offset system can be fabricated.
