abstract PURPOSE: To impart corrosion and abrasion resistance to metal, etc., by applying a coating material obtained by dispersing ceramic fine particles in a polyimide resin converted into a varnish to the metal, etc., and drying and firing the resultant coat. n CONSTITUTION: A coating material obtained by dispersing ceramic fine particles in a polyimide resin converted into a varnish with a solvent, e.g. N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone or dimethylacetone, to an object, e.g. metal, and the resultant coat is then dried and fired to form a coating film sintered material.
