abstract | PURPOSE: To improve the fitting capability and the strength of products by heating nonoxidizing atmosphere through which a preheated core stock passes to a high temp. and keeping the temp. of the core stock higher than a specific temp. until the inlet of an extruder. n CONSTITUTION: A core stock heater 5 is provided on a core stock 1 and a tube 7 through which gaseous argon flows and a gas heater 6 are also installed. The core stock 1 preheated by the heater 5 passes through the nonoxidizing atmosphere in the tube 7 through which the argon gaseous heated by the gas heater 6 flows, enters an extruder 8, is combined integrally with Al wire being to be a cover stock 9, and is extruded as a Al-clad metal wire 10. In that time, the temp. of the core stock 1 is kept ≥300°C until the inlet of the extruder 8.
