abstract PURPOSE:To make the cooler in the caption compact by independently providing an evaporation cooling device and a water flow type cooler on the cylinder head side and on the cylinder block side, respectively, and stabilizing the cooling effect on the cylinder head side. CONSTITUTION:Up to the position of a liquid level sensor 21 liquid coolant is maintained in a water jacket 2 on the cylinder head side. The coolant vaporized from the upper side of the water jacket 2 is condensed by a condenser 20 through a vapor outlet 17, a vapor manifold 18, and a vapor passage 19, and then circulated again to the water jacket 2 on the cylinder head side through a lower tank 25, a reservoir tank 28, a coolant supply pump 32, a check valve 33 and an oil cooler housing 34. The water jacket 3 on the cylinder block side is filled with liquid coolant and connected to a water flow type cooler comprising a passage 6, a radiator 9, a passage 11, and a circulation pump 13.
