NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [R 1 and R 2 are H or alkyl; R 3 is H, alkyl or (CH 2 ) n COOH (n is 1W3); R 4 and R 5 are H or alkyl; X is S, SO or SO 2 ; A is alkyl, (CH 2 ) n '-Het (n' is 1W3; Het is heterocyclic group), CH 2 C(=O) COOH, C(CN)COOH, CH 2 CN, etc.] and its salt. n EXAMPLE: [{2-(1,3-Benzodioxol-5-yl)ethyl}thio]propan-2-one. n USE: Useful as a remedy and preventive for various hepatic disorders of animals including human. n PREPARATION: A compound of formula I wherein X is S can be produced e.g. by reacting a thiol of formula II with a compound of formula A-Y (Y is halogen, methanesulfonyloxy, etc.) preferably in the presence of a base and a dehydrohalogenation agent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
