titleOfInvention | Water-tight structure for shut-off valve of single cylinder type for mixing hot water and cold water |
abstract | PURPOSE:To prevent the contact pressure between a guide plate and a shut-off valve from being increased, by superposing a resilient material packing plate and a high hardness material guide plate with each other so as to form a water- tight area for opening hot and cold water inflow ports in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A water-tight area 4 is formed around hot and cold water inflow ports 2, 3 formed in a cylinder 1. The water-tight area 4 is formed by superposing a resilient material packing plate 5 with a high hardness material guide plate 7 formed therein a smooth guide slide surface. A shut-off valve 11 is arranged on the inside of the guide plate 7. With this arrangement it is possible to prevent the contact pressure between the guide plate 7 and the shut-off valve 11 from a being increased. Further, a recess 10 is formed in the guide plate 7 so as to reduce a slide contact area in order to reduce the frictional resistance and lubrication oil is stored in the recess so as to facilitate the slide movement of the shut-off valve. |
