abstract |
According to the present invention, a Labyrinthula microorganism that has a reduced or lost sterol 24-C-methyl group transfer activity and produces 7 dehydrocholesterol compared to the parent strain is cultured in a medium, and 7DHC is produced in the culture. A method for producing 7DHC, which is characterized by accumulating and collecting 7DHC from the culture; and a method for producing vitamin D3, characterized by irradiating ultraviolet light to 7dehydrocholesterol produced by the production method. A manufacturing method can be provided. |
